The free online tools keep finding me today. 
Two SLIDESTORY sites seem to be promising in using them in the classroom.
1. Slidestory.com
You can offer transcripts with each episode.
2. Bubbleshare.com
Create albums, record stories, upload to bubbleshare or your blog.
On the top of my head, I am thinking of TPRS stories, cultural slideshows of target language countries, vocabulary practice through photo descriptions, audiobooks…
So what do you do, when you want to create, update and upload a podcast when you are on the road on vacation?
There is a free podcast utility that can help you do this in addition to many different other functions:
GABCAST
What is Gabcast?
Gabcast is a social broadcasting platform that offers virtual communities, individuals and organizations an easy way to create and distribute audio content.
1. Create an account
2. Add a channel
3. Visit the My Account page to determine your new Channel Number. Using your Channel Number and Password, you can call a Gabcast access number and create new episodes.
4. Gabcast has 1-800 numbers in the US and many other numbers across the world, when you are traveling.
5. You call the number enter your Channel Number and Password and start talking.
6. Once you have finished, press the pound key and choose to publish.
7. I already had it set up (under “Edit Channel” ) that it would be published directly to this blog at langwitches.org
8. Gabcast also allows you to record conference calls which opens up great possibilities if you wanted to conduct interviews, students to colaborate with each other, or have native speakers across the country join you in a conversation.
