Justo Lamas, an Argentinean singer, is coming to perform a special concert in Spanish for my elementary school students. This is the fourth year that we are able to bring him to Jacksonville.

Check out his awesome website where he uses Karaoke songs, cellphone ringtones and other great tools to motivate Spanish students and get them excited about learning Spanish and Hispanic culture.

I was able to chat with Justo for a few minutes using Skype (my computer called his landline phone) and an add on to Skpe: Powergramo. This program allows me to record the conversation through Skype and then export as a .wav file, which is easily imported into my sound editing program Audacity.

Last week I had my sixth grade students come up with questions that they would like to ask Justo Lamas. We then recorded some of them. I will create a special edited sound file for them with their voice clips inserted before Justo”s answer.
