MAC Update
Here is an update of my life as a MAC user…
I LOVE IT!
I have had some great one-on-one time with my Macbook during my time in Atlanta at the SCOLT conference. The size and weight alone is a huge plus, compared to the Gateway Laptop I was carrying around at previous conferences.

So far, I have :
- played around with iPhoto and created a slideshow
- created a movie in iMovie, then exported into iDVD and burned a DVD of the movie
- downloaded and converted movies from youTube.com, using Jodix, Vixy, or Media Convert.
- created a podcast in GarageBand
- used Podcast Maker to create and upload the mp3 and RSS file. Podcast Maker also imported my already existing RSS feed so I did not have to re-enter all the previous episodes. I had a little trouble at the beginning to set up the correct paths for the FTP upload, but it seems to be working as of now.
- practiced, practiced and practiced some more of the keyboard shortcuts
- Command-Tab to see which applications are running in the background and then switch to anyone of them
- Shift-Command-4 to be able to take a screenshot of a particular area of the screen. The created .png file is placed on the desktop
- Control- click to be able to get a drop down list of further task, such as rename, delete, etc.

Excellent! I knew you would! Being a Mac owner has changed the way I look at technology in general – it’s there to make my life easier. The less of that “blue screen of death” and “plug and play” errors I see, the better!
