BloggerCons, practices something that does not teach, but facilitates a conversation. Imitates the blogosphere. Questions and answers. It is more about learning from other people than being published. Posing questions and getting feedback.

Web 2.0 applications:

  1. Blogs and Podcasts
  2. Wikis
  3. Social Media
  4. Social Bookmarking
  5. Collaborative Teleconferencing
  6. Aggregators

Which ones of these have you used as a professional?

13-04-07_1423.jpgWhich ones have teachers at your school used?

Which of those should we actively persueing as educational tools in our schools.

EdubloggerCon Wiki:

  • people are asking questions from people in the field

How do you share web 2.0 tools with “everyday” teachers, NOT with other technology teachers? How do you get non tech savvy teachers to use the technology:

  • Technology has to be dependable
  • Mentoring & Sharing
  • Show the need
  • Take away the fear
  • Look for the connectors in your school, the ones that have influence, the ones that other teachers are looking to

What is the best web 2.0 tool should teachers start with? Blogs?

It was wonderful having this available today. Reading these posts was the closest thing to being at the conference in person. I love your blog, and regularly “steal” ideas and pass them around my campus at Southern Polytechnic State University! Very useful ideas, and very well done!!! Thanks!
