I am so happy to have found the following Quality Image Exchange site. Stock.xchng

There are over 330,000 images online and new ones added daily by contributors.

Whether you just want to browse our huge image gallery or want to share your personal photos with others, this is the site for you!

Browse through the categories of our huge gallery containing over 250.000 quality stock photos by more than 25.000 photographers! Need a wallpaper for your desktop? Need a pic for your commercial website design? Looking for inspiration? Have a look around.

Share your photos with fellow designers! SXC is a friendly community of photography addicts who generously offer their works to the public free of charge. If you have some nice photos that you’d like to share with others, join us!

So far I have found most images to have the following Standard Restrictions:

You may use the Image

  • In digital format on websites, multimedia presentations, broadcast film and video, cell phones.
  • In printed promotional materials, magazines, newspapers, books, brochures, flyers, CD/DVD covers, etc.
  • Along with your corporate identity on business cards, letterhead, etc.
  • To decorate your home, your office or any public place.

A few images that I ran across wanted (in addition to the standard restriction) that you notify the photographer anytime that you are using the image in a public work. The overwhelming majority of image are FREE, while some specific ones will cost you $1-$10 depending on the resolution size.

Action Research: Quality Writing on Blogs


In the month of March 2012, an International team of 4 elementary school classrooms are conducting Action Research about quality writing through blogging. You can support them by giving them an authentic global audience and modeling quality commenting on their posts.
