Many teachers use our webbased database software at www.grubba.net for their projects. Students can login from school or at home (anywhere) to your projects, homework assigments, TODO's or other things.

Grubba is a free web based online database for home, school and office.
You can create and manage your own database and forms in just a few clicks.

As always I marvel at the high bar you continue to set with every article you post. In case you haven't noticed I'm a huge fan.

With regards to removing ads in a ning for middle/lower school usage, I can't find an email address to make this request to the folks at Ning. Can you help?

Warm Regards,

Nick

Yes, the school should follow a different pattern to educate the children. A lot of such ideas are found in www.K5Stars.com also.

The best social networking website I've found for the School community is:

http://www.bloust.com

they offer free teacher websites and communities for both teachers and students. Check them out, it's free to join.

a great website for those techie teachers is wikispaces.com for free classroom wikipages- this is a great way to show off student work and do some collaborative learning- our class set up pages to talk about themselves and each other, then i added some pdf files to each child's page to help them work on student goals- the great thing is that this can be edited from anywhere and it is showing our students the abilities of wikis!
