About a week ago mrmayo tested whether its was possible for multiple people to be signed in to the same twitter account simultaneously.. It is, maybe then anyone wanting to answer a teachable moment could sign in to the account reply from within the account stating their own @id the @id of the shoutouter and message

this would mean that anyone using teachablemoment should subscribe to all @messages (i think)

Susan's widgets are fine for 'reading', what can we do for replying? Other than a DM in Twitter (provided not blocked in school). Need some chocolate!!! LOL

http://tinyurl.com/2o82fx or http://tinyurl.com/2vn8
They could just be added as a link to pop up window maybe?

If I don't catch it on the twitter timeline I need a faster way to see when my RSS is updated and it would only work if I have zero-inreader like a zero-inbox. Would it work if we shared notification across something like shared items in Google Reader or del.icio.us? Are people using a home page like iGoogle, Netvibes, or Pageflakes to try and follow? I agree with Susan that timezones could be a problem but for myself I think it is just as much having an @teachable moment stay visable in front of me and getting stuck like an alarm or the top thread in a forum.

Nancy,
If you have an RSS aggregator, like Bloglines or Google Reader you can use the RSS feed generated by TweetScan. Like this you will receive ALL Twitters that contain @teachablemoment
Thank you for adding your thoughts. We will only figure this out as a group.

Cont....I always like to have 'possible' solutions when posing questions/problems. So here goes:
1. I've RSSed teachablemoment
2. I need to check it throughout the school day
3. I need to figure out how to access Twitter (working on it, my problem)
4. Send a DM to the @individual and then 'follow' them, hoping that they will then follow me and read my future comments to them. (OR....just leave it at the DM)

Somebody help out here....this all sounds like a little too much to do in the middle of my day....

Thoughts? Suggestions? This is too good a prospect to give up on.

I'm gonna have to have a glass of wine and ponder the problem...

Would have given shout-back to @reuw, unfortunately since they aren't part of my 'following'/'followers' I don't get the info. Only @teachablemoment does. We need to figure out a way to overcome this.

Let's think. When a conference is set up and they set up a Twitter id, how do others see what is sent to that id?

I'm still a 'twittie' and haven't left the nest yet! LOL

I'm thinking that to keep everyone covered this particular twitter account needs a lot more followers from all time zones. Maybe we should all be "canvasing" our contacts.

What constitutes a "shoutout"? I am unclear about that.
