Useful websites will be highlighted to further engage your students in cross curricular lessons that span the globe and expand their learning!

Find geometric shapes in the world. Using the ruler you can measure in line or as a path. Measuring the parameter (with the path tool). Change measuring units.

Google Lit Trips – Take literature work and make them into Google Lit Trips. You can download the KMZ files of the Lit Trips. You can also embed United Streaming into Google Earth! (Instructions on her wiki)

Social Studies

Ex. Look at Civil War battles by downloading pre-done KMZ files. Each placemark has a photo and is hyperlink to more information.
