Right after I published the "Tidbits of Information " post, I receive a Twitter from ehelfant

So, I checked into creating a group twitter account. I guess there are several sites out there. I chose GroupTweet , since Liz Davis recently created a group called Edutweets .

Set up was pretty simple. I created a new Twitter account, named it Globaltidbits , then registered that account with GroupTweet . Once you follow GroupTweet and that account follows you in return, you can send a DM (Direct Message) that will appear in the timeline from all followers under the globaltidbit avatar with your twitter name preceding the tidbit.

So what is globaltidbits all about?

You are invited to contribute a tidbit of global information whenever you run across it (or once a day). That could be:

• a news item from another country
• a foreign language word or phrase
• geography location
• cultural insight
• travel tip
• etc.

It looks like that many of our schools are working on integrating geography skills. This group might help educators be reminded of "World tidbits" on a daily basis.
