I was digging up some bookmarks and came back to this post. 
I love this line:

&lt;i&gt;If the learning outcome stays unchanged from the learning that occurred without the tech tool, then the â€œnewâ€ technology merely is a glorified (and usually more expensive) version of the traditional one used in the past.&lt;/i&gt;
