Great resources to practice your mapping and geography skills: Geogames at ReachTheWorld.org.

On their homepage you can read:

An Interactive, Free, Online Geography Game created by Teachers College, National Geographic and Dangerous Media [...] Reach the World’s primary mission is to ensure that every student develops an in-depth understanding of political, economic, environmental and cultural geography

You can choose between two activities: Build Planet Earth or Map countries and Cities.

Choose one activity and between Easy, Medium and Hard level. Simply drag and drop country shapes onto the globe, then later add the corresponding cities. If you are stuck, you can get a hint by clicking on “Sneak Peak”. When you are finished adding the countries and cities, print out the map you have created.

The other activity is to Build Planet Earth. Drag and drop as in the previous activity. When you drag a continent over the globe, the continents will appear already faded until you try to drop one into position. If it is approximately the correct position of the continent it will fill in. If you dropped it into the wrong position, the continent will re-appear in the white box.
