The idea is to take a photo EVERY day for an entire year.
See you life in a whole new way.
I had looked at this project a while ago, and contemplated doing a school-one-photo-a-day project, but have missed the beginning of the school year now for the second year in a row. In the past few months, I have been surprised over and over again by the power of Wordle, which creates a visual of a list of words or other text. Surprised… because the visual reveals more that what can be seen when viewed in the traditional way…one word after another… in a straight line… one line after another…
I wonder what a year of photos might reveal? Something I am not seeing today?
Here is my photo of Day 1:
Day 1- Jasmin growing up, framing our entry way. Growing up … With three teenage daughters… Never a dull moment
Most likely, I will use my iPhone for taking the images, since I carry it with me all the time. Just need to send it to my Flickr e-mail, that will automatically post it to my account. I will need to go to Flickr and add the “366photos” tag. I also joined the 366photos group on Flickr:
This group is for people participating in a 2008/366 366photos photo-per-day challenge. It doesn’t matter what you shoot, or what equipment you use – just that you shoot one photograph each and every day. You don’t have to post them all here – it’s not meant to be a report card or audit tool – but please feel free to share them here.
This group is hopefully a handy place for encouragement (keep on shooting!) and discussion/feedback.
It’d be really cool if many of the photos that get added to the pool are also geotagged, so we can see a map of the locations of participants. But – PLEASE – don’t geotag photos taken at home.
