Others are teacher reflections. A few are teaching strategies with classroom resources, and there are even some from outside education, but relate to your curriculum.

My Friday writing assignment this week is inspired by the Skype calls that my class are making. So far we've spoken to four classrooms in Florida, North Carolina, Nevada and Thailand. Each call has helped us learn about the other students and sometimes we learn about Saskatchewan when we get asked a question we don't know then need to research.

My class has been busy preparing and taking part in Skype calls for the project "Around the World in Eighty Schools." My project was started by Silvia Tolisano (aka langwitches) in Florida. Our first call was to Florida where we learned about the weather there and what sports the students are interested in.

On Friday morning we made our first connection via Skype (free video conferencing) with a small school in Regina, Canada thanks to Ms Silvia Tolisano’s fabulous Skype Project: AroundTheWorldWith80Schools
