This is a great post and summarizes so much of your short but oh, so sharp connections. Thank you for squeezing us in. I had year 11 and 12 students as a subject and as they were actually looking at input and output devices and looking at communication, I thought it was a great opportunity for them to experience the media rather than constantly read about it in their textbooks. So, unfortunately, we mucked up both the timezone and you got mostly my newbies as well. So, it was good to see that you did learn something from us and my boys want to connect to more countries as well now. Dont know how I will justify that in their preset VCE course, but I will try. Thanks for working with us and like, you I love using skype for global communication.

How inspiring! The possibilities are endless and it is so heartening to know that there are teachers and students seizing the day and creating learning opportunities. Thanks for sharing the ideas.

Great connections to people, places, and authentic learning. This is another example to take to administrators, parents, and school boards. Inspiring work!

Sounds like a great evening! My students returned to school a week and a half ago to chat with Chrissy's students in Bangkok. I also had parents join our call. Our goal is to have 1-2 calls a week which has been going well. This week we're chatting to schools in Alaska and Pennsylvania.
