We are nearing the end of the first year of the process at my small independent school. Almost everyone is excited about having maps available (some are nervous), but almost everyone is concerned about the time to create the initial maps. This year, we just worked on maps for one class. Next year, we will add one class, and so on or the next few years. I have always thought of this as a long-term, three to five year start-up.

I'm extremely interested in reading about your process of curriculum mapping. My private school has not undertaken this process yet. We need to. I would love to see your template and examples. Best wishes on this monumental project!!

Hi Silvia,

http://www.leaderu.com/cl-institute/habits/habit5.html

You know this already ... without addressing the teacher's concerns, you will not have the buy-in critical for success. No amount of cajoling or coercion or convincing will achieve that buy in. You will earn their respect and cooperation by listening and collaborating with teachers to address their legitimate concerns.

All the best.
