I like seeing new teaching methods develop along side the technology. Too often we settle for simply digitizing existing practices. I learned a lot about backchenneling from Angela Estrella’s CUE’14 presentation where she showcased some apps and backchenneling techniques. One of the apps she was my app, called Geddit (www.letsgeddit.com). It’s similar to Google Docs (Q&A) however students can ‘check-in’ at any time which basically allows them to report on their confidence with additional comments that are sent to the teacher throughout a lesson. I highly recommend you check it out 🙂 If you have any questions about it please let me know I would be happy to chat about it.
